Peter Max Paints America

I've been interning for the Clinton Foundation since late January. So far it has been botha rewarding and demanding experience. This Monday was the opening of our new exhibit - Peter Max.He's a world-renowned artist. His artwork is very unique and unlike anything else I've ever seen before.

I knew that I would be working the event, but had no idea I would get to spendhalf of my day with Peter Max and his assistants. The first event of the day was a luncheon with Peter Max in Clinton's Executive Suite at the top of the Library. Most people do not have the oppurtunity toget a peak inside. It is a modest extravagance.

Before I knew it I was standing next to Peter Max helping him sign posters. In an attempt to prevent people from selling things he signs,he only personalizes posters. He won't just sign his name, he has to have someone to make it out too. It was my job to make sure he spelt everyone's names correctly.

Immediately afterwards, there was a press conference downstairs. (Above is the pictue.  I'm in the background in the baby blue dress.)

The evening included a large opening cermony where Peter Max and the Governor of Arkansas, Mike Beebe, spoke followed by another signing cermony in the Clinton Presidential Center. After an exciting and exhausting 14 hour workday, I headed home.
