** NEW YEAR **
Going into the New Year allocates you to reflect on decisions you have made in the ending year. A commitment I have made that I do not regret is joining student government in my school. Attending a small school there are many disadvantages; joining student government was very important because this was the first year we have ever had a student government in my school. Going into the elections I never intended to become the president is was a decision that was made later on after becoming a representative. Despite this year being a trial run the elections were intense. I only had one component for this position, and at first it was to close to call. We even needed tie breaker questions. When creating my speech I refrained from telling the council members about what changes we were going to make from the school but by telling them what I have done in the past that makes me qualified for the position. Just because this was the first year of student government does not mean we have to deprive the school of a president who lacks the qualifications. Once I won my position I knew I made a commitment to the students I represented and the facility I helped. I make it my obligation to email students to keep them updated and participate in all school events so my peers can see my dedication.
As we go into the New Year I want everyone work hard towards achieving their goal because coming into the next year you want no regrets.
But continue to “Stay a Leader and Remember Peace = Improvement “
