Women Organizations & Their Impact

Throughout history and even in present time women have always used their knowledge from education and experience to encourage others around them to become active members of society. We see prominent women who have progressed through the pipeline and gain high ranking work to create a mentorship within their peers and evoke efficacy among other females. One strategy that has worked in the progress of women is the growth of woman’s groups and organizations. Each group/organization stands for their own issues and work to promote different things among each other but most importantly all groups represent women. A more modern organization is Girls in Government.

As times change the number of women involved in politics slightly begins to increase women organizations help to keep the numbers higher. Women organizations give women a place to discuss and become active members in politics, it does this by creating a network between women of their peers and who stand for the same issues they do. When we branch together in women’s group and create a “sisterhood “it gives off positive change not only for themselves but the communities in which they work in. Girls in Government one example of a Women’s Organization that is working to create change and increase the political involvement among women.
