Was it wrong to give a speech?

Conservative icon Ann Coulter lost her privilege of speaking at WorldNetDaily (the site famous for questioning President Obama’s citizenship)  national convention due to her appearance on GOProud's "Homocon." GOProud is a group that represents gay conservatives. Coutler does explain that just because you speak at an event hosted by  an organization does not mean you fully support the ideas of the group. Coulter says she has been hired to give many speeches for colleges, even some liberal groups and this speech is the same as any other speech gig she may have taken.

People have to remember once becoming a significant member in the public eye they have to be mindful of the groups they associate themselves with because the group’s mission may not be a reflection of their personal views. I do believe public figures should be able to give speeches within groups and at events of their choice.
